ABOUT ME

I have spent the majority of my life as an attorney engaged in challenging work across a broad spectrum of practice areas. Apart from reading this blog, chances are you have not read anything I have written unless you have been a judge or opposing counsel in a legal proceeding. My legal journey began with an externship for a California District Court Judge focusing on a Mexican drug trafficking case involving the death of a DEA agent. I continued my career as In-house counsel in the dietary supplement industry by successfully petitioning the FDA in a landmark case which allowed the use of the herb Stevia as a dietary ingredient in the United States. My most recent position was General Counsel for a start-up jewelry company where I was the chief legal officer and managed their QVC shopping network’s business. Additionally, throughout my career, I have also advocated for the rights of women and children; litigating on behalf of special needs children and addressing sexual violence in the workplace prior to the arrival of the Me Too movement.

I now consider myself to be a full time author and storyteller. If you know me well, you also know that I am a:

Queen to my king, prince, princesses, and castle guard dog.
So. Cal. beach bum.
Serena Williams wannabe.
Kitchen performer.
Wine club board member.
Stage Coach attendee.
Adventure seeker.
Travel junkie.
Branch on a giving tree.
Animal adorer.
Shoulder to lean on.
Avid reader.
Expert procrastinator.
