A blurb about my upcoming historical fiction novel:

SILENCE THE MUSIC

It is 1940 and the Golden Age of Jazz is in full swing, capturing the hearts and passion of the French people. The Nazis occupy Paris, casting their shadow of gloom with swastika covered monuments and gun patrolled boulevards. A young Jewish girl and a Catholic boy are drawn together through music and fall deeply in love; catapulting them into a relationship which bridges cultural divides and breaks social class barriers. Despite social and economic disparities, their families reconcile their differences and bind together in an effort to survive the devastation of war. Inevitably, lives are lost, love is shattered, and a baby vanishes after an illegal adoption by members of the Reich. Many years later in New York City, a violinist and an artist each embark on a journey of self-discovery to learn about their ties to this dark and troubled Paris. A time when the Nazis dimmed the flame in the City of Lights by trying to extinguish not only the music, but the very essence and culture of its people. Their soul searching connects the present with the past and illuminates the truth; they are the living proof that the enemy was unable to silence the music.
